Mavic Open Pro rims are outstanding becuase they employ many of Mavic's leading edge technologies, such as their UB Control® breaking surface technology, (offers a sidewall finish quality with the most demanding racers in mind),  full double stainless steel eyelets (for spoke tension support and rim longevity),  Maxtal® metal alloy, (a light weight and strong material), and their SUP® welded rim seam. 

These wheels are built using a three cross lace pattern, which offers a great blend between the wheel's ability to accelerate yet still absorb road shock.  They also come with Shimano 105 5700® series hubs (8/9/10 speed compatible).  Finished with the DT Swiss spoke and nipple option of your choice.  Considering this wheel set utilizes some of the best wheel components available, it offers an extraordinary value.
