The new Bicycle Wheel Warehouse Blackset Race 11 rim offers a sensational platform for a road race wheel set platform.  The 2011 variant of this rim is slightly heavier than its predessor, now weighing in at approximately 410g. The rim height dimension (24mm) and width dimsension (19.5mm outer, 14.5mm inner), remain unchanged.  This slight increase in material weight from last year's model is the result of a uniform increase in rim wall tolerances, making the whole rim slightly “thicker” and more suitable to everyday riding applications.  The new Race 11 wheels are still very race-able, yet now offer the ability to train with on a daily basis.

Indeed, an analysis of the bulk of other aluminum road race rim options will yield very few options that are lighter weight.  Given the fact that the BSR 11 rim includes a 24mm tall "aero" tapered profile, and you will be even more impressed.  Most other light weight rim options use a some what standard mid-19mm "box" profile.  The BSR 11 rim offers a welded rim joint, and includes CNC machined sidewalls.  Available in a 24, 28, or 32 hole rim drilling, and offering a max recommend rider weight of 198 lbs, (dependent on wheel spoke count of 28 or greater), and you truly have a winner!
