We are proud to introduce the new Bicycle Wheel Warehouse Pure Aero 30mm deep-V aluminum clincher rim. During the developmental phase of the Pure Aero, we listened closely to our customers' feedback and categorized their preferences for characteristics we sought to incorporate in the design of our new rim. Additionally, we used this phase as an opportunity to scrutinize the best and worst attributes of existing similar rims in the marketplace, in order to offer a truly compelling new design. Once we decided what we wanted our new Aero rim to represent, the rest was a simple matter of enduring 1000 headaches.

The primary characteristic that we wanted these new rims to represent was functionality. That means these rims had to be able to perform well at speed, under heavy load, and after thousands or even tens of thousands of miles. In order to satisfy these criteria, and despite great expense, we had to insist on the very highest quality production standards; else something as simple as a slightly less than stellar machined sidewall could lead to reduced rim life. And although we did not want these new rims to turn into heavy bruiser discs, we opted in favor of additional material to be used along the sidewalls as well as the inside of the apex of the rim where the nipples press against.

The finish of these rims includes an anodized process that yields a highly reflective, beautifully finished rim. Given the introduction of light, the rim's ano color will appear extremely shiny, which as you all know, shiny equals quality.  Have fun checking these out, more colors will slowly be added over time.
