At approximately 550g, the Sun Rhyno Lite XL welded rim isn’t exactly the lightest AM rim in the world, but it is one of the strongest. It’s wide 29.2mm wide profile with thick vertical TCB (Total Control Braking) sidewalls makes this rim extraordinarily stiff, and extremely well designed for aggressive all mountain riders. The front Quando Lite® 20mm thru-axle hub (222g) is essential to perform through fast runs over broken, rocky trails, roots, and sizeable drops. The machining quality of the front Quando Lite® hub is excellent, and allows for the impressively smooth sealed cartridge bearings to fit tightly between the hub and axle precisely. The rear wheel is laced to a Shimano 756 XT® 6-bolt disc, 8/9 speed cassette hub. The Shimano XT® hub is sturdy, reliable, and with basic maintenance, should prove exceptionally durable. Laced three cross to these black Sun Rhyno Lite XC® rims via black stainless steel spokes and brass nipples, this wheel set employs the use of sturdy components for aggressive all mountain riding.
