This specific wheel set starts with Mavic’s TN719® disc rims, laced  three cross to Shimano XT 6-bolt disc hubs via black DT Competition® double butted spokes with brass nipples.  The Mavic TN719® is great to work with; its strength responds predictably to high levels of equal tension.  Additionally, the rim quality itself lends for super precise finishing by our expert wheel builders, sometimes down to sub ½ of 1/10th of a millimeter.  From a wheel builder’s viewpoint, this level of quality is as good as it gets.  This light weight wheel set is responsive, stiff, yet still forgives harsh punishment.  One additional benefit of this wheel set, the Mavic TN719® disc rim easily accepts up to a 2.3” tire, so you’ll be able to use many of your favorite tires.

With this wheel set you must use disc rotors/disc brakes, this wheel set is not compatible with v-brakes. This set comes with XT quick release levers, is Shimano 8/9 speed compatible, and is designed specifically and only for bicycles equipped with disc brakes.  Please feel free to take a closer look.
