For those of you who prefer your drinks shaken and not stirred, who watch reruns of Navy Seals Untold Stories/Future Weapons/Wings over the Pacific, or find yourself inexplicably cleaning your bike before you go out for a short ride. The Mavic Reflex tubular is designed for racing, but some gents just prefer the ride. Others love the hands-on feel of mounting their tires, and the resulting gratification of applying their own meticulous expertise.

We’re offering to build these wheels with Shimano Ultegra® (6700 series 8/9/10 spd compatible, silver-gray finish), laced three cross to DT Swiss Competition double butted black spokes with your choice of nipples.  Aesthetically speaking, these wheels will look sweet with black or red alloy nipples, but personal preferences vary.  At first glance the wheel set weights don't look super exciting, keep in mind that Shimano Ultegra hubs offer a ton of durability, and relatively easy maintenance.  The actual weight of the Reflex CD rim is exceptionally light at approx. 380g.
