The Mavic Open Pro® rim is one of the most solid, dependable, light weight (435g) options around.  The Open Pro® features Mavic's Maxtal® metal alloy, precision machined side walls for excellent stopping power, as well as full double stainless steel eyeleted spoke holes for better spoke support and rim longevity.

The front and rear wheels will be built with 32 DT Competition double butted spokes laced three cross to Bicycle Wheel Warehouse light weight Pure RT series road hubs.  Pure RT hubs have a super clean ano finish over a nicely machined aluminum hub shell, use high end Japanese sealed cartridge bearings that are easy to replace, revolve around a strong steel axle, and include a tough steel freehub body that will resist cassette wear.  The rear freehub body is easy to remove, replace, or convert between Shimano and Campy.
