The DT Swiss RR585® (formerly the RR1.2) road rim represents Herculean strength matched with stunning beauty.  We do not officially support the prospect of buying a wheel set due simply to how good it looks, but if that were indeed your motivation to add these to your arsenal, you will be very pleased.  The DT RR585’s® finish is impressive, the machined sidewalls are the epitome of precision; the welded joint is an unnecessary perk.  The sidewalls are finished so smoothly in fact, that we can true these wheels laterally to a level of precision that is way beyond necessary, sometimes down to sub one-half of one-tenth of one millimeter.  Did we mention that this rim is strong?

These wheels are built with 32 hole Shimano 105 (5700) series road hubs, please select either silver or black hubs.  Shimano 105 hubs have a proven record of performance, are well finished, and are built to last a very long time.  These wheels are recommended for serious riders that log training miles, riders looking to go fast on the flats, to commuters that simply haul heavy loads and want to ride worry free, or to anyone trying to impress the ladies on their Saturday ride with a stunning amount of wheel bling.

We are building these with a 32 hole/three cross lace pattern, which offers excellent lateral strength while still allowing each wheel to absorb a fair amount of road vibration.
