Pure Tour full custom wheel sets offer a reliable alternative to those whom need heavy duty wheels that work without compromise.  The Pure Tour rim is 30mm tall and a full 21mm wide, creating a triangular rim platform that is exceedingly strong.  We view the Pure Tour rim as the new Go-To rim in the upward durability wheel segment.  Designed with a pronounced wear indicator in the sidewall that helps dissipate heat while braking.

These wheels are built with Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 series road hubs.  We consider these Dura-Ace hubs to be the best loose-ball road hub in the world, and given the 7900's introduction of its easy to use bearing adjustment system, the best has gotten better.

We are building these wheels with DT Swiss Competition double butted spokes and brass or alloy nipples, using a three cross lace pattern, which offers a great blend between each wheel's ability to accelerate yet still absorb road shock.
